Detangling Kids Hair

Combing out a child’s hair is rough on both ends, literally! You hate all the crying and they don’t want you combing it.Getting tangles out of  hair can sometimes cause more damage than just leaving the knots in. Combing hair the wrong way can cause split ends or broken hair shafts.

Use a shampoo that works great on tangles.Johnson’s no more tangles shampoo is a good one to try.Use comfortably cool water to wash your hair and the hair will be sleeker and shiner.Water that is too hot causes tangles.Apply a deep conditioner concentrating on the ends.Leave on for about 10 min, rinse. You may apply heat if you like.Follow the directions on the bottle.

Apply a detangler.Use a wide-toothed comb to detangle the hair.

Use a wide toothed comb when detangling. It hurts less.

I like to part the hair in subsections all over.I grab each section at the base and gently start to detangle at the ends.Gently comb through hair, ends down to roots, until the tangles are out.
