Three Ways to Successfully Slay Your Lacefront Wig

lace-2There are so may hair style options now a days! You can have natural hair. Short hair. Even blue hair! And not be committed to it! Lace front wigs are the most natural looking option, when it comes to changing up your look. Sew ins and wigs also work. But lace front wigs will definitely leave people wondering if it is your own hair or not. but this is ONLY if your lace front is installed the right way. We have all seen bad lace fronts lol. Nothing cute about them!

SORRY LADIES !Lol!

  1. Prepare the front of your hair for the lace application. Cornrow your hair backwards, and wear a wig cap. Cut the lace off the wig.SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

Do not cut off too much lace. If you are unsure of how much to cut off ask a professional stylist to help you. Often times people will make the hairline too straight and perfect. You want things to look as natural as possible. Having a razor edge line, is the sign of a poorly applied wig.You may also want to make the hairline less dense by tweezing random hairs along the edges.Again, this can be done by your hair stylist.lacefront-4

2. Make sure your forehead is free from moisture and oil. Try on the wig and fit it to your head to ensure the lace is naturally positioned in front of your hairline. Place it in front of your hairline. Place a thin strip of lace adhesive in front of your hairline, making sure you don’t touch your own edges. Blow dry the area for about 10 minutes or sit under the drying hood to make the area tacky. Carefully place your lace wig on to the strip of adhesive but don’t press down. This may cause the glue to bleed through the lace.

3. Tie your hair with a scarf and you can either sit under a dryer for 15 minutes or point a hand dryer over the area for the same amount of time. Style the hair as desired. If you have an unfortunate glue line that is lighter than your skin tone, use some adhesive remover on a cotton ball to wipe it off. If you want to use tape, it is the exact same method but you have to strategically position the tape so the edges of your lace wig are securely attached.
